Arcadia University Athletics

Sophomore Ashley Ditchey (Nicholson, PA/Lackawanna Trail) played a key role for the Knight's defense in a 1-1 week for the Arcadia Field Hockey team.  Ditchey anchored the back line in the team's 3-1 win at DeSales, allowing the home Bulldogs just 3 shots.  On Saturday, the sophomore gave her squad a 1-0 lead on No. 7 Messiah College by following up a corner attempt and putting the loose ball in the cage in the 20th minute.  The Knights 1-0 lead over the nationally-ranked Falcons stood for 27 minutes thanks to the team's defensive effort led by Ditchey, before Messiah made a three-goal comeback.
