Philosophy
Arcadia Sports Performance has been structured to enhance both student-athlete performance as well as their overall experience. An umbrella model of athletic training, strength and conditioning, nutrition counseling, mental health support and general wellness.
- Safety of the student-athlete always takes precedent during strength training and rehabilitation.
-
The Sports Performance staff members are motivators and educators. We lead by guiding and teaching.
-
Our Sports Performance facilities are safe, modern, functional, well-equipped, and a source of motivation and pride for our student-athletes. These facilities are constantly evolving.
-
Our staff places a high priority on education, and insures that anyone working with the athletes is at the top of the educational field.
Expectations
What we expect from our student-athletes is their absolute best. We expect them to have the same drive and passion for improvement that we do as a staff. Every day that the student-athlete comes in is a chance for he/she to improve, and we want athletes that are ready to maximize their time to maximize their abilities.
What you, the student-athlete, can expect from us is cutting-edge science and a drive to help you improve as both an athlete and person . We will do our best every training session to help you improve as an individual and also as a team. We do not have a cookie cutter approach to training, and realize that each athlete is different and may need a separate approach, which we as a staff will accommodate.

Pre-Participation Physicals and Required Forms
Every Arcadia University student-athlete must have a yearly pre-participation physical completed and current insurance coverage in order to participate in intercollegiate athletics. Dual sport athletes do not need two physicals. The physical exam must be completed within a 6 month window prior to the start of the athlete's sport season for the current academic year. All forms must be filled out completely prior to your participation in intercollegiate athletics at Arcadia. The Arcadia University Athletic Clearance Form (must be completed and signed by a physician or nurse practitioner), proof of insurance and insurance verification must be turned into the athletic training staff in paper form.
Supplemental Athletic Insurance
All students-athletes are required to have personal health insurance in order to participate in intercollegiate athletics. This insurance may be through a parent's plan or purchased through Student Health Services. Arcadia University provides supplemental insurance for those athletic injuries that occur while participating in Arcadia sponsored intercollegiate athletics. Once the athlete has met all of their deductibles and co-payments any outstanding charges that the primary insurance company will not pay reverts back to AG Administrators. In order for AG to process these claims, they require a billing statement, itemized bill, and an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) from the primary insurance company stating non-payment. The athletic training staff will file and submit claims, but it is the responsibility of the student-athlete to submit any and all necessary billing information directly to AG Administrators.
