Jerry Smith (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) led Arcadia University baseball through their first six games (2-4 overall), including a 9-8 win over Eastern University in the team's home opener on Feb. 28 and a 21-9 trouncing of Valley Forge Christian College at home on March 6.

Against Eastern, Smith drilled a fourth inning game-tying three-run triple to lock the score at 6 aside and was driven in as the game winning run off a walk-off single from senior Marc Gottfried to give the Knights a hard-fought 9-8 come from behind win.

Smith helped the Knights to remain unbeaten at home with a perfect day against Valley Forge, going 5 for 5 with 4 runs scored and 4 RBI.

Through the opening six games, Smith batted .375 with 3 of his team leading 9 hits for extra-bases. He led the team in runs scored (7) and RBI (13) and a .542 slugging percentage.
