Sophomore pitcher Jessica Wood (Columbus, NJ/North Burlington Regional) aided the Knights with two stellar performances while the team competed on Spring Break in Myrtle Beach, where the squad finished with a 7-1 record.
On March 12, the sophomore threw two complete games, both victories for the Knights.
Wood threw for 6 innings, allowing just 4 hits in a 10-2 win over Principia and later went on to toss five hits thorugh 7 innings in 1-0 victory over Division II Concord University. She also went 3 for 7 at the plate in those games, driving in 2 runs and scoring 2.
To date, Wood is 4-2 overall with a team best 2.27 ERA through 8 starts with 3 shutouts.
