Senior pitcher Steve Romond (Barrington, NJ/Paul IV) delivered his best outing of the season this past Saturday, taking his Knights to an 8-1 victory over visiting John Jay College in the first game of the non-league doubleheader at Erny Field.

The start was his 6th in 8 appearances, first complete game and his first victory of 2012 (1-2) as he gave up just five hits to John Jay allowing just 1 earned off 1 walk and a season high 4 K's.

On the season, Romond sports a 5.16 ERA.
