Junior ace Jordan Hofferman (Elkins Park, PACheltenham) provided Arcadia Baseball with the chance to nab a playoff berth when he pitched a complete game victory at home on Friday over Albright College. Over the nine inning contest, Hofferman allowed just one earned run off a scattering of 7 hits and got plenty of run support from his offense in the 6-2 series opening victory.
Although the Knights didn't get the help they needed out of the E'town-Messiah and Alvernia-Widener series', they took their season down to the wire to cap the most successful campaign since 2008.
Over the final stretch of 8 games, Hofferman made three appearances and yeilded an ERA of 3.38. He ends his first season with the Scarlet & Grey with a 6-1 record, and team-best 2.76 ERA, which ranks him 6th overall within the Commonwealth Conference.
