Joe Dyas enters his sixth season as the Head Cross Country Coach and fourth as the Head Track and Field Coach at Arcadia in 2022-23.

Dyas led cross country to its first-ever NCAA appearance in 2021, coaching Tate Dawson to an automatic bid the NCAA Division III Championship in Louisville as the team finished eighth at MAC's and 12th at regionals. Dawson (First Team) and Micah Gordley (Second Team) were the first two women to earn All-MAC honors after Christoper Reistle (Third Team) and Brian Friedman (Third Team) earned the honors for the men in 2017 and 2019, respectively.

Gordley (bronze - Indoor 800m) and Kira Bochard (bronze - outdoor heptathlon) earned the first All-Conference nods for track and field in 2022.

The Knights competed in its inaugural outdoor track & field season in 2021, producing seven individual qualifiers, who met conference standards in a combined 13 events. Myles Sams became the first men's track & field athlete to reach the podium with a fifth place finish in the long jump, while Mackenzie Nocchi marked the first female outdoor podium finish with a sixth place effort in the high jump.

Dyas has mentored four All-MAC selections in cross country and two in track and field and one Academic All-MAC selection.

Dyas came to Arcadia from Delaware Valley University, where he worked as an assistant track & field coach in the spring of 2015, specializing in men's distance, while working on his master's in business administration. He graduated in December 2017.

He started his coaching career at Kutztown University after completing his bachelor's degree in leisure & sport studies in December 2013.

As a student-athlete, Dyas was a three-time NCAA cross country regional competitor and competed in four years of track & field at Kutztown, helping the Golden Bears record three straight top-10 finishes. He was a two-year team captain, and was twice named the recipient of the team's Coach's Award.

A native of Westampton, NJ, Dyas currently resides in Roxborough.
