Ashley Knueppel (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) scored her third goal of the season, unassisted in the 39th minute of todays' game against the Rangers of Drew University and it was the only goal scored through regulation as the Knights take the Drew Fall Festival Championship crown with the 1-0 victory.
The win is the 4th in a row for Arcadia who improves to 4-2 overall. This is the first Drew Fall Festival title for Arcadia who has participated in this tournament since 2008.
Drew held the slight advantage in shots 10-7 while the Knights owned the edge in corners, 4-2. Sophomore keeper
Jackie Law (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains Fanwood) made 4 stops for her first shutout of the season and 12th career opponent blanking. Ranger keeper Kim Jaikisson also made 4 stops. With today's loss, Drew drops to 3-2 overall.
Arcadia is back in action this Wednesday, traveling to Gwynedd-Mercy to take on the Griffins for a 4 PM start.
