Todd scores the only 2 goals in a 2-0 victory for the Knights

GLENSIDE, PA: (SEP 28, 2010) - Sophomore Zach Todd(Cape May Courthouse, NJ/Middle Twp.) scored two goals in 12 minutes to triple his point total on the season to 6, all while leading Arcadia past Eastern University 2-0 in non-conference men's soccer play.  The win snaps a two-game losing skid for Arcadia, who improves it's record to 4-5 overall.

With a little over 20 minutes remaining, Senior Jeff McDonald (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) sent a lead pass in front of the net for Todd, who headed the ball into the upper right corner of the net to break a scoreless game.  The goal was Todd's first game winner of the season while the assist was McDonald's team leading seventh point of the season.  Todd added a second score at 82:05, unassisted, as he sent in a 25 yard shot past Eagle keeper John Crowder to give the Knights a two-goal cushion.

Arcadia out-shot Eastern 13-3, receiving 6 shots from Todd, and 3 shots from first year Nick Morris (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge).   While Arcadia's offense was relentless, the Knight's defense was stifling, stopping all 5 of Eastern's corner opportunities.  Not to be outdone, Arcadia had 6 corner opportunities of their own.

First year keeper Ryan Lantzy (Pheonixville, PA/Pheonixville) made 1 save in net to preserve the win and his second collegiate shutout.  Crowder made 6 saves for the Eagles, who fall to 4-3-1 overall.

Arcadia returns to action Saturday afternoon (Oct 2), traveling to Lycoming College for a 12 PM game.
