Trio lead Knights in loss at DelVal

DOYLESTOWN, Pa.:  A trio of starters ignited Arcadia University Volleyball in tonight's non-conference match at host Delaware Valley and despite forcing the Aggies to come from behind in sets two and three, the Knights fell in three straight.

Game scores were:  25-14, 25-18, 25-14. 

Senior Hailey Barger (Sitka, AK/Sitka) had seven kills and five blocks to lead the Knights. Sophomore Kritsa Hsu (Newark, DE/Delcastle Tech) added five kills and 17 digs while sophomore Carlee Rossiter (Annapolis, MD/Broadneck) had 10 assists and 10 digs.

The Aggies (20-6) opened up set one wnning 14 of the first 19 points, taking the set 25-14.  Sets two and three didn't come as easy, with Arcadia forcing DelVal to rally in both.  But the Aggies took a 2-0 lead after pocketing a 25-18 win in set two.  And after Arcadia jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the third set, DelVal responded to win the set and match. 

Arcadia (6-13) committed 21 errors this evening and totaled 7 receiving errors off of DelVal's game high 7 service aces. 

Janel Gluch paced Delaware Valley with 12 kills and three blocks while Destinee Horning added 11 kills, 15 digs and two blocks.

The Knights play at home for the final time this Wednesday evening, hosting Elizabethtown College on senior night to end their Commonwealth schedule.
