Taylor leads Women's Basketball in 80-59 loss to Rosemont

Box Score CAMDEN, NJ:  Up by one at the half, Arcadia University couldn't contain four players scoring in double-figures from Rosemont College, as the Ramblers, led by Ashley Montecchio's 27 points and 15 rebounds came from behind to knock off the Knights 80-59 on the final day of action at the Rutgers University Camden Raptor Tip-Off Classic.  Senior Christine Taylor scored 18 for the Knights whose starters never left the court and drop to 0-3 overall to start the season.

Rosemont College (2-1) went on a 34-13 run at the end of the game, breaking open a 46-46 deadlock to win its second game at the Raptor Classic. The Ravens took the lead for good, 49-46, on a three-point field goal by freshman guard Alexandra Gravinese who added a layup moments later.

The first half featured six lead changes, including a layup at the buzzer by sophomore Christie Kershaw (Cheltenham, PA/Cheltenham) that gave the Knights a 29-28 edge at the break.

Sophomore guard Jenna Crothers (Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford) scored eight first-half points for the Knights, while Kershaw and Taylor each added six.

Rosemont received eight points in the opening half from Montecchio, while Gravinese added five in the opening half.

The second half featured four ties and three lead changes before Gravinese put the Ravens ahead to stay with her three-pointer.
