Canfield scores career first to lift Knights to win at Neumann

ASTON, Pa.:  [Box Score]  First year forward Kim Canfield (Hillsborough, NJ/Immaculata) converted a pass from sophomore Rachel Dolly (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) off an Arcadia corner opportunity in the 72nd minute of action to lift Arcadia University Women's Soccer to a 1-0 victory over host Neumann University in today's non-conference season opener.

The Knights out-shot Neumann (0-1) 27-7 and finished with a 6-4 advantage in corner opportunities.  The goal was the first career tally for Canfield who registered 3 shots on net this afternoon.

Junior keeper Jackie Law (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) made 6 saves for the shutout.  Neumann's Jacqueli McAllister made 14 stops in net but could not stop the game winner from Canfield in the 72nd minute of play.

Arcadia (1-0) will look to keep their early season momentum going when they participate in the Haverford College Tournament this weekend.  The Knights will face host Haverford on Saturday, Sept. 3 at 1 PM.
