Volleyball rolls to season's first win

GLENSIDE, Pa.: After each team won a pair of games, Arcadia University responded to win games three and four and their first match of the season with tonight's 3-1 victory over visiting Bryn Mawr College in non-conference volleyball action. Game scores were 25-16, 19-25, 25-23, 25-19. The Knights improve to 1-2 overall.

Entering the third game, the two teams battled till the end with the Knights earning the 25-23 win, setting themselves up to win the match in four games as they powered past Bryn Mawr (2-5) 25-19 for the win.

Senior Hailey Barger (Sitka, AK/Sitka) led the Knights attack, hitting .268 with a game high 16 kills. Junior setter Jessyca Stoler (Lansdale, PA/North Penn) served up 37 assists, a match high, along with 11 digs. Sophomore Krista Hsu (Newark, DE/Delcastle Tech) and first year Kassandra Church (Allentown, PA/William Allen) contributed 12 digs apeice while sophomore libero Veronika Bailey (Plato, MO/Plato) put up a match high 22 digs.

Arcadia turns right around for their Commonwealth Conference opening match Wednesday, Sept. 14 at Widener University. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
