Widener handles Arcadia Volleyball

GLENSIDE, Pa.: Still feeling the effects of a injury-laden starting lineup, Arcadia Volleyball opened Commonwealth Conference play last night at host Widener University, and fell in straight sets. Game scores were 8-25, 11-25, 10-25.

The Pride boasted six players hitting above .400 off the attack.

For Arcadia, sophomore Delaney Dobson (Horsham, PA/Archbishop Wood) produced a team high 4 kills and junior Jessyca Stoler (Lansdale, PA/North Penn) assisted all 11 Arcadia kills. Sophomore Veronkia Bailey (Plato, MO/Plato) dug 10 balls.

With Wednesday's loss, the Knights fall to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the Commonwealth.

Up next for the Knights will be a home match against Commownealth foe Lycoming College next Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m.
