Volleyball defeated by Lycoming

GLENSIDE, Pa.:  Arcadia University Volleyball continued Commonwealth Conference play tonight as they welcomed the Warriors of Lycoming College to the Kuch Center. Despite a gutsy game three effort from the Knights, Lycoming went home happy after a 3-game sweep.  Game scores were 17-25, 14-25, 23-25. 

The visiting Warriors posted 4 players hitting above .400 off the attack. 

For Arcadia, sophomore Delaney Dobson (Horsham, PA/Archbishop Wood) and Hailey Barger slammed 8 kills apiece while the junior Jessyca Stoler (Lansdale, PA/North Penn) assisted on all of the team's 22 kills.  Sophomore Melissa D'Arcangelo (Brookfield, CT/Brookfield) dug a team high 7 balls.

With Wednesday's loss, the Knights fall to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the Commonwealth. 

Up next for Arcadia is the Fairleigh Dickinson - Florham Tournament this Saturday, Sept. 23, where the Knights will face-off against Baruch, NJCU, and FDU.  Games are scheduled for 3 p.m, 5 p.m, and 7 p.m.
