Kramer’s Hat Trick Leads Women’s Soccer Team Past Lycoming 4-0

Box Score GLENSIDE, Pa. – Freshman forward Lennon Kramer (Nazareth, Pa.) scored three goals, all in the second half, to lead the Arcadia University women's soccer team to a 4-0 MAC Commonwealth victory Saturday night at Easton Field.
 
The Knights improved to 11-1-5 overall and 4-0-3 in MAC Commonwealth matches, while the Warriors fell to 1-15-0 overall and 0-7-0 in conference play.
 
Junior forward Kim Canfield (Hillsborough, N.J.) opened the scoring with her 14th goal of the year when she put the ball in right side of the net off a lead pass from freshman midfielder Karis Poore (Reading, Pa.) in the 32nd-minute.
 
Kramer scored her first goal of the game 3:57 into the second heal when she headed in a corner kick from Canfield, and she netted her second of the match 10 minutes later to give Arcadia a commanding 3-0 lead. She capped the scoring with her team-leading 16th goal of the year in the 72nd-minute off a feed from freshman Caty Davenport (Berwick, Pa.).
 
Senior Jackie Law (Scotch Plains, N.J.) registered four saves as she improved her record to 9-1-5 and recorded her fifth shutout of the season. Fellow senior Caitlin Dougherty (Douglassville, Pa.) fell to 1-15-0 after making eight saves.
 
The Knights outshot the Warriors 21-6 in the game and had an 8-0 advantage in corner kicks.
 
Arcadia will be back in action Tuesday night when they travel to No. 9 Messiah College for a 7 p.m. MAC Commonwealth match.
