Box Score READING, Pa. – The Arcadia University field hockey team closed out the conference portion of its 2013 schedule with a 2-0 MAC Commonwealth victory at Albright College Tuesday afternoon.
The Knights improved to 13-5 overall and 6-2 in conference play with the win while recording their third shutout in four matches. The Lions fell to 6-12 overall and 2-6 in conference play with the loss.
Arcadia dominated play in the first half, outshooting Albright 8-1 and holding a 5-2 advantage in penalty corners, but could not get on the board until 10:18 into the second half when junior back/midfielder

The Knights converted off another penalty corner in the 57th minute as Ditchey scored her second goal of the season off an entry pass from junior midfielder

Brittany Hodson (Highesville, Md.) registered five saves in goal for Arcadia as she recorded her fifth shutout of the season. Her record now stands at 13-5 for the year. Senior goalkeeper Marguerite DeLucas (West Reading, Pa.) had 10 stops in goal for Albright as her record fell to 6-12.
The Knights outshot the Lions 16-7 in the match, while Albright held a 12-10 advantage in penalty corners. Shots were more even in the second half with Arcadia holding an 8-6 edge, while the Lions had a 10-5 advantage on corners.
The Knights will close out the 2013 regular season Thursday when it hosts a non-conference match against Swarthmore College at 6 p.m. at Easton Field. All Arcadia students that wear a Halloween costume to the game will receive a free t-shirt and a bag of candy.
