Box Score GLENSIDE, Pa. – Freshman forward
Lennon Kramer (Nazareth, Pa.) scored a pair of goals as the Arcadia University field hockey team posted a 4-0 MAC Commonwealth victory over visiting Albright College Wednesday night at Easton Field.
The Knights are now 9-1-2 overall and 2-0-0 in MAC Commonwealth matches this season. The Lions fell to 4-6-1 overall and 0-2-0 in conference play with the loss.
Senior forward
Fatima Elmedkhar (Middletown, Del.) got Arcadia on the board just 4:19 into the contest when she one-times a perfectly placed cross from senior forward Sarah Volk-Perez (Mays Landing, Md.) into the back of the net for her fourth goal of the season. Volk-Perez then set up a similar play for Kramer's first tally of the game, ninth of the season, at 17:42.
Junior midfielder
Nina Barbieri (Hillsborough, N.J.) gave Arcadia a commanding 3-0 lead when broke past the defense off a lead pass from junior forward
Kim Canfield (Hillsborough, N.J.) in the 32nd-minute for her fourth tally of the year. Kramer made it a 4-0 contest in the 57th-minute with her 10th goal of the season off a corner kick from Canfield.
Senior keeper
Jackie Law (Scotch Plains, N.J.) needed to make just two saves in 78 minutes to improve her record to 7-1-2 for the Knights, who outshot the Albright 16-4 in the match. Junior keeper
Veronica Willig (Lancaster, Pa.) didn't face a shot on goal in the final 12 minutes of the contest.
Arcadia will return to action when it hosts a noon MAC Commonwealth contest against Stevenson University at Easton Field. The Mustangs are ranked fourth in this week's NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Rankings, while the Knights are ranked fifth.
