Women’s Basketball Cruises to 84-26 Win at Penn College

Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Arcadia University improved to 3-0 for the season after defeating Pennsylvania College of Technology 84-26 in a non-conference contest Tuesday night. The Wildcats fell to 0-3 with the loss.
 
Sophomore guard Mary Badeen (Newport, Maine) scored a game-high 19 points with seven rebounds, two assists and three steals, while Valerie DiMuro (Tappan, N.Y.) posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 boards. Senior guard Victoria Mazzeo (Langhorne, Pa.) also registered a double-double with 16 points and a game-high 13 rebounds, while sophomore guard Maureen Fiocca (Philadelphia, Pa.) also netted 16 points with five rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Freshman forward Addie Jordan (Muncy Valley, Pa.) scored nine points with three rebounds and two assists for Penn College, while sophomore guard Danielle Mowery (Shamokin, Pa.) scored eight points with five rebounds and two assists.

Arcadia never trailed in the game, scoring each of the first seven points of the contest and outscoring the Wildcats 28-3 over the opening 11:13 on its way to taking a 44-11 lead at the half.

The Knights shot 45 percent (36-80) from the field and 23.1 percent (6-26) from three-point range while holding Penn College to 20 percent (10-50) shooting from the floor and 21.4 percent (3-14) from beyond the arc. Arcadia also dominated the game on the glass, outrebounding Penn College 65-26.

The Knights will look to remain unbeaten on the season when they travel to Penn State York Saturday for a 1 p.m. non-conference contest.
