Women’s Basketball Improves to 4-0 with 88-56 win at Penn State York

Box Score YORK, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's basketball team outscored Penn State York 49-22 in the second half to record an 88-56 victory over the Nittany Lions Saturday afternoon, improving its record to 4-0 on the season. Penn State York fell to 3-1 after suffering their first loss of the season.
 
Sophomore guard Samantha Caligiuri (West Grove, Pa.) scored 14 of her game-high 22 points in the second half for the Knights, while fellow sophomore guard Mary Badeen (Newport, Maine) scored 14 of her 20 points in the first period.
 
Senior guard Victoria Mazzeo (Langhorne, Pa.) also scored in double figures with 16 points, 10 of which came in the second half. Junior forward Victoria Roukas (Palisades Park, N.J.) and sophomore guard Maureen Fiocca (Philadelphia, Pa.) each finished with nine points.
 
Freshman guard Brittany Kint scored 14 points in the first half, but was held to just a single made free throw in the second, giving her a team-best 15 points to lead Penn State York. Senior guard Courtney Riggs and freshman forward Hannah York added 14 points each.

The Knights will return to action Tuesday when they travel to Cairn University for a 7 p.m. non-conference contest.
