Box Score Cheltenham, PA (March 20, 2013) - The Arcadia University (8-5-1) won their fourth game in a row, this afternoon 13-2 over the Ursinus College Bears (3-6). The Knights used a four run second inning to take a 5-1 lead and never looked back. Nine Arcadia pitchers combined to allow just two hits over the nine innings.

George Pagan and Mike Nessel each had three hits.
Ursinus scored a run in the top of the first, but Arcadia responded as
Brandon Martin hit an RBI single to tie the score. Then in the second the Knights scored four times.
David Jacobs knocked in a run when he walked, Pat Kwiatkowksi then scored on a wild pitch. Smith then hit in infield single that scored Jacobs and
Justin Simpson scored on an error by the catcher.
Arcadia scored three more in the fifth on an RBI single by Pagan, an RBI double by Nessel and Kwiatkowski then scored on an error. In the sixth, Arcadia added two more as
Connor Arsenault hit a sac fly and
Jay Zehring hit an RBI single for a 10-1 lead. In the eighth the Knights tacked on three more on an RBI double by Pagan and a two run double by
Rudy Checo. Ursinus scored a run in the ninth to make the final 13-2.
Smith was 3-5 with two runs scored and an RBI. Zehring was 2-4 with a run scored and an RBI. Pagan was 3-5 with three runs scored and two RBI, while Nessel was 3-4 with a run scored, an RBI and a perfect inning pitched. Nine pitchers threw for the Knights with
Marc Gottfried getting the win after a perfect second inning.
Arcadia will head to Widener for a Commonwealth game on Friday afternoon.
