Box Score BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Sophomore back
Taylor Dalisera (Millersville, Md.) scored the lone goal of the game in the 11th-minute as the Arcadia University field hockey team posted a 1-0 non-conference victory at Moravian College Friday afternoon. The Knights improved to 2-1 for the season with the win, while the Greyhounds fell to 1-1.
The game wasn't scoreless for long as Arcadia was awarded a penalty corner ten minutes in and Dalisera put the ball into the cage off a pass from junior forward/midfielder
Hannah Christensen (Harrisburg, Pa.) just 10:54 into the contest. That proved to be the only goal the Knights would need as freshman goalkeeper
Brittany Hodson (Highesville, Md.) stopped all three shots on goal she faced to record the shutout in net, improving her record to 2-1 for the season.
Senior goalkeeper Andrea Eck (Catasauqua, Pa.) fell to 1-1 for the season in goal for Moravian after not registering a single save. Shots were just 4-3 in favor of the Greyhounds in the first half and they took all six shots in the second. Moravian also held a 10-6 advantage in penalty corners in the match.
Arcadia will next host its first home game of the season Tuesday when the Knights take on Maywood University at 4 p.m. at Easton Field, where there will be a Water Ice giveaway and a halftime shooting contest. Fans who take part in the Facebook/Twitter Challenge will be eligible to win an Arcadia prize pack.
