Complete ResultsGRANTHAM, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's swimming team dropped a pair of dual meet decisions at Messiah College Saturday afternoon, falling to the host Falcons 130-72 and King's College 105-97. The Knights are now 5-6 in dual meets this season.
Senior
Tara Nuzzo (Mahwah, N.J.) won the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.46 and was the runner-up in the 100 freestyle with a time of 55.37 seconds, while Junior
Whitney Boeckel (York, Pa.) won the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:03.47 and was the runner-up in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:48.36.
Sophomore
Charity Brain (Kendall Park, N.J.) finished third in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:05.39 and finished fifth in the 400 individual medley with a time of 5:17.11, while Freshman
Lillie Curtis (East Prospect, Pa.) finished fourth in the 100 and 200 freestyle with respective times of 59.07 seconds and 2:10.08.
Freshman
Anna Sweeney (Highland Lakes, N.J.) finished fifth in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:11.36. Junior
Jenna Neil (Harrisburg, Pa.) finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:18.74 and freshman
Shannon Davies (Broomall, Pa.) finished fifth in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:07.97.
The 400 freestyle relay team of Curtis, Sweeney, Boeckel and Nuzzo won with a time of 3:55.09, while the 400 medley relay team of Brain, Davies, sophomore Rebecca Burkhart (Bethel Park, Pa.) and freshman
Melissa Malik (Cherry Hill, N.J.) finished third with a time of 2:03.31.
Arcadia will next host its final dual meet of the 2013-14 season January 18 against Lycoming College at 1 p.m. at Lenox Pool.
