Box Score GLENSIDE, Pa. – Sophomore forward Alex Cohen (Ridgewood, N.J.) scored what proved to be the game-winning basket with 15 seconds to go as the Arcadia University men's basketball team recorded a dramatic 79-76 come-from-behind victory over visiting Lycoming College Saturday afternoon at Alumni Gymnasium in a Commonwealth Conference contest.

The Knights improved to 5-5 overall and 1-3 in the Commonwealth Conference with the win, while also snapping a nine-game skid against the Warriors (5-5, 1-3 CC). Arcadia's last win over Lycoming was a 61-56 decision January 17, 2009.

Junior forward Joe Brown (Philadelphia, Pa.) and junior guard Travis Saltus (Teaneck, N.J.) both scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Knights. Brown also pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. Saltus also handed out five assists and grabbed three rebounds. Junior guard Aaron Lee-Webb (Norristown, Pa.) filled up the box score with 11 points, four assists, four rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot.

Senior forward Kevin Anthony (Columbus, Ohio) led Lycoming with 15 points and 10 boards, while sophomore guard William Wingate (Philadelphia, Pa.) netted 14 points with nine boards, and three assists coming off the bench. Senior forward Michael Rudy (Danville, Pa.) added 11 points with seven rebounds.

After getting out to an early lead the Knights found themselves trailing 39-36 at the intermission and were later down as many as 12 in the second half following a three from Rudy that gave the Warriors a 57-45 lead with 12:21 to go in the second half. Lycoming led 68-60 after Anthony's layup with 5:15 left in the game, but Arcadia outscored Lycoming 19-8 the rest of the way to pull out the win.

The Knights closed out the contest with a 10-2 run over the final two minutes. Lee-Webb got things going by making a pair of free throws and Cohen followed by knocking down a jumper to cut the deficit to one, 74-73 with 1:30 remaining. Brown then put Arcadia on top as he laid the ball in with 56 seconds to go, but junior guard Malcolm Covington (Bronx, N.Y.) answered following a timeout for the Warriors to put them back on top with 38 seconds to go.

Cohen the pulled down an offensive rebound off a missed Brown three and put it up and in to give Arcadia a 77-76 lead with 15 seconds on the clock, and Covington was called for a double dribble on the ensuing possession with 6.7 seconds left in the game. Sophomore guard John Landro (Cornwall on Hudson, N.Y.) was fouled on the inbounding play the followed and sank both free throws for the 79-76 final.

Lycoming had 5.8 seconds to work with following the free throws and Covington got a good look in his attempt to tie the game, but his three from the top of the arc missed just before the final buzzer sounded.

The Knights opened the contest with a 13-3 run in the opening five minutes and later led 27-17 after brown made a pair of free throws with 6:13 to go in the period. The Warriors then scored nine straight to pull back within one, 27-26, and then used another nine-point spurt to close the half and take a 39-36 lead into the locker room at the half.

Arcadia will be back in action Monday, hosting a 7 p.m. non-conference game against Penn State Abington at Alumni Gymnasium.
