Elizabethtown Avenges Earlier Loss to Women’s Basketball Team, 80-31

Box Score ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's basketball team shot just 25.5 percent (13-51) from the field as it dropped an 80-31 Commonwealth Conference contest at Elizabethtown College Monday night, dropping its record to 10-11 overall and 4-10 in conference play. The Blue Jays improved to 16-4 overall and 10-4 in conference play with the win.
 
Senior forward/guard Taylor Kreider (Willow Street, Pa.) scored a game-high 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field while pulling down a game-high 12 rebounds and dishing out a game-high eight assists to lead Elizabethtown, which earned a split of the season series after dropping a 77-76 decision in Glenside January 15.
 
Sophomore guard Rachel Forjan (York, Pa.) added 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the floor, while junior center Emily Young (Lancaster, Pa.) fell just shy of a double-double with 12 points and nine boards.
 
Sophomore guard Dominique Hassinger (Franklinville, N.J.) led the Knights with 10 points, while fellow sophomore guards Samantha Cailgiuri (West Grove, Pa.) and Mary Badeen (Newport, Maine) added seven points each.
 
The Blue Jays shot 46.5 percent (33-71) from the field and 36.4 percent (4-11) from three in the game, while outrebounding Arcadia 52-31, with a 21-10 advantage on the offensive glass.  
 
The Knights will look to bound back Wednesday when they travel to Alvernia University for a 6 p.m. Commonwealth Conference contest.
