Box Score GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team opened the 2014 season by posting a 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-16) non-conference victory over visiting Rosemont College Friday night at Alumni Gymnasium. It was the first match of the year for both teams.
Senior outside hitter
Natalie Cadmus hit an impressive .429 after putting down a match-high 16 kills with just four errors in 28 attempts to go with four digs and three service aces, while freshman middle hitter
Colleen Stengel hit .667 after recording five kills and just one error on five swings in the first match of her collegiate debut.
Sophomore setter
Alexia Bell handed out 22 assists and also recorded three service aces, and freshman libero
Sami Evans notched eight digs in the first match of her collegiate career.
The Knights hit .217 (32-17-69) and totaled 18 service aces in their first action of the season, while the Ravens managed just five kills in the match.
Arcadia will next host a non-conference match against Bryn Mawr College Wednesday, September 3, at 7 p.m. at Alumni Gymnasium.
