Box Score ANNVILLE, Pa. - Sophomore
Jess Kelly scored a pair of second half goals to lead Arcadia to a 3-0 victory over Lebanon Valley. The win marks the first for the Knights against the Dutchmen since 2010 when the Scarlet and Grey posted a pair of 1-0 wins in Glenside.
Kelly, who tied for the a team-high four shots, opened the scoring in the 69th minute. After taking a leading pass from senior
Melia Ochsner, the Langhorne native was able to put the ball in the upper right 90. About 15 minutes later Kelly struck again, this time on an unassisted tally where she was challenged by the keeper who came out to play the ball. Kelly was able to lift the ball to high to the right side for the goal. Fellow sophomore
Kayla Haberbosch, who tied Kelly with four total shots, capped the scoring in the 89th minute with an unassisted marker.
Rookie
Evelyn Feigeles denied a pair of shots to earn her ninth win, and sixth clean sheet, of the season.
Kelly has scored a goal in each of the last three contests for five on the season as she leads all active Knights; her six helpers are also a team-high.
Arcadia held a 15-12 advantage in total shots with a 7-2 margin in shots on goal. The Knights took six corner kicks compared to two for the Dutchmen.
The 9-4 Knights hold a 3-1 conference mark as the gear up to travel to Messiah on Saturday.They return home on Sunday, October 25 to host Widener.
