GLENSIDE, Pa. – Arcadia University recently completed a series of upgrades at Erny Field, which has served as the home of the Knights' baseball program since 2003.
Photo Gallery The work began during the summer with the complete reconstruction of the infield area, which included releveling the infield, laying new sod, and the installation of an irrigation system. The mound was laser-leveled to home plate, and those exact measurements were replicated in the rebuilt home and visiting bullpen areas.
The new irrigation system was also installed in the outfield, which was leveled and reseeded. The final portion of the remodel was done following the non-traditional season this fall, with the installation of two new 70' batting cages down the first base line.
The Knights' 2016 season will begin February 20 with a doubleheader at Immaculata University. Arcadia's home-opener is scheduled for March 16 against Eastern University.
