Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 HOBOKEN, N.J. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on the first day of competition at the 2015 Ducks Classic, falling to Host Stevens Institute of Technology 3-0 and Kean University 3-1. The Knights (3-4) will take on New York University and Stockton University to close out the Ducks Classic Saturday.
 
Arcadia trailed by just two points at 12-10 in the opening game of the match before Stevens went on to take the game 25-14, and were up 11-8 on the Ducks in the second game before they surged ahead on their way to a 25-17 decision. Stevens then used a 6-0 run to start the third on its way to a 25-10 win and a sweep of the match.
 
The Ducks (3-4) were led by Christina Sciarra with nine kills and four digs, while Mary Tobin put down seven kills, six digs and three aces. Annemarie Thomas added five kills on her six attempts for a .833 hitting percentage.
 
Freshman Elizabeth Joseph led Arcadia with five kills and five digs, while junior Makenna Micklus had four kills and seven digs.
 
Things played out similarly in the Knights' match against Kean (8-5), which won in four sets by scores of 25-19, 25-14, 24-26 and 25-17.
 
Joseph totaled a match-high 15 kills with eight digs for the Knights (3-4), while classmate Sam Dulak registered nine kills with four digs. Micklus notched eight kills with eight digs, while junior Alexia Bell handed out 30 assists with six digs.
 
Vikki Ridgway led Kean with nine kills, while Kassie Hernandez and Calli Scheuermann added eight kills each. Hernandez also recorded 13 digs in the match, while Lisa DeGroot had a match-high 15 digs.
