Women’s Volleyball Rallies Again with 3-2 Come-From-Behind Win over Albright

GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University won its second consecutive match after going down 2-1 as it recorded a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over visiting Albright College Tuesday night in a MAC Commonwealth match at Alumni Gymnasium. The Knights improved to 5-8 overall while evening their conference record at 2-2 with the win, while the Lions fell to 3-11 overall and 0-4 in league play.

Albright pulled out a 25-22 win in the opening game before Arcadia cruised to a 25-14 win in the second. The Knights weren't able to carry that momentum into the third game however, falling 25-19 to go down 2-1 in the match.
 
Arcadia was able to pull it back together in the fourth game with a 25-17 win, and never trailed in the fifth and deciding game after scoring after scoring the first two points of the set. The Knights led by just one after a kill from Claudia Guise made it 10-9, but Arcadia went on a 5-1 run to close out the game and won the match on service ace from freshman Elizabeth Joseph.
 
Freshman Becca Campf hit an impressive .526 in the match, recording 11 kills and just a single error in her 19 total attempts while recording a match-high seven aces, five digs and four blocks. Joseph finished the match with 12 kills, six blocks and five digs, while senior Makenna Micklus tallied 11 kills. Sophomore Colleen Stengel registered a match-high 31 assists, while freshman Kayla Resh notched a match-high 23 digs.
 
Maddy Greth led the Lions with a match-high 19 kills while also totaling 15 digs. Guise hit .308 for the match, recording seven kills and three errors on 17 attempts to go with 29 assists, 17 digs, and four service aces, while Katie Schmerse chipped in with eight kills and 16 digs.
 
The Knights will be in search of their third straight win Thursday when they travel to Rosemont College for a 7 p.m. non-conference match.
