HAVERFORD, Pa. – Sophomore
Kayla Haberbosch scored the lone goal of the game in the 61st-minute to give the Arcadia University women's soccer team a 1-0 victory over SUNY Brockport in the consolation game of the 2015 Haverford Kick-Off Classic.
Fellow sophomore
Jess Kelly fed the ball to Haberbosh on a set piece following a Brockport foul, and Haberbosch headed the ball in for her second goal of the season. The assist was Kelly's second of the year.
That was all the offense freshman keeper
Evelyn Feigeles would need as she stopped the only two shots on goal she faced to record the shutout victory in net, improving her record to 2-1-0 for the season.
Arcadia (2-1-0) dominated the match from start to finish, out shooting the Golden Eagles (1-2-0) 24-3 in the game and taking all six corner kicks in the game. The final score could have been much worse for Brockport had it not been for the 14-save effort from keeper Catherine Eliasson.
The Knights will be back in action Wednesday when they travel to Ursinus College for a 7:30 p.m. non-conference match.
