WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The No. 13/17 Arcadia University women's soccer team extended its program-record winning streak to 13 games and moved to 11-0 on the season with a conference-opening 3-1 win at Lycoming Saturday afternoon. Senior
Lennon Kramer led the Knights with two goals, with junior
Jess Kelly scoring the other.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Arcadia found the back of the net twice in the game's first eight minutes. Kelly scored just over three minutes in for her fifth goal of the season. In the eighth minute, Kramer put the ball in the upper left 90 after stealing the ball from a Warrior defender. The hosts got on the board in the 33rd minute off a goal from Jordan Lazarich. Kramer scored her second of the day in the 47th minute when she put the ball in the upper left 90 from the right side of the 18 box.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The Scarlet and Grey controlled the stat sheet by outshooting the Warriors by a 13-1 count, including 9-1 in shots on goal. Arcadia's corner kick total of six bested the hosts' one.
IN GOAL: Freshman
Taelor Rivera picked up her 10th win of the season without making a save, while Joelle Winey made six saves in the loss for Lycoming.
