No. 2 Women’s Soccer Set to Host No. 3 Stevenson in MAC Commonwealth Championship Semifinal

GLENSIDE, Pa. – The second-seeded Arcadia University women's soccer team will play host to the third-seeded Stevenson Mustangs on Easton Field Wednesday night in the MAC Commonwealth Championship Tournament Semifinal.
 
TICKETING INFORMATION: Per conference policy, all fans must pay admission for playoff contests. Prices are as follows: adults $5, seniors $4, students $2 and children under the age of six are free.
 
MERCHANDISE: Long sleeve t-shirts will be available for purchase for $18 each while supplies last.

Semifinal Round – Wednesday, November 2
Game 2: No. 4 Lebanon Valley at No. 1 Messiah 7 p.m.
Game 3: No. 3 Stevenson at No. 2 Arcadia 7 p.m.
 
Final – Saturday, November 5

ABOUT ARCADIA: The Knights opened the season on a 13-game winning streak before they finished the regular season at 16-2. After a season-ending 1-0 loss to Messiah, Arcadia earned the second seed in the MAC Commonwealth Championship Tournament.  The Knights were ranked as high as No. 6 by the National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) and No. 16 by D3soccer.com. Arcadia is currently ranked No. 16 by the NSCAA and No. 23 by D3soccer.com.
 
ARCADIA LEADERS: Junior Kayla Haberbosch sits at the forefront of the Arcadia offense with a single-season program record 18 goals on the year. Those 18 goals, along with six assists have Haberbosch at 42 points on the season, tying the single-season program record. Senior Lennon Kramer, Arcadia's all-time goals leader, found the back of the net 11 times during the regular season while handing out a pair of assists for 24 points. Junior Jess Kelly rounds out the Knights with 20-plus points as she met twine seven times this season while also registering six assists. In goal, freshman Taelor Rivera posted a 13-0 record with five shutouts as she maintained a 0.65 goals against average and .822 save percentage. Junior Evelyn Feigeles went 3-2 with a 1.08 goals against average and .778 save percentage.
 
ABOUT STEVENSON: The Mustangs went 3-4-1 prior to entering MAC Commonwealth play, including a 1-3 start to the season. A 3-0-1 start to conference play helped Stevenson earn the third seed as it went 5-2-1 against conference opponents and finished the season with an 8-6-2 overall record.
 
STEVENSON LEADERS: The Mustangs are led by Alexis Siejack's six goals and 15 points; she is the only player on the team with double-digit points. Brittney Celano has been the biggest distributor with five assists. Brianna Christie's four goals are second-best on the team as are her eight points. Celano added a goal to her five assists and Alayna Roesener scored twice and gave out three assists for seven points. Tiffany McKee posted an 8-6-2 record in goal with a 1.33 goals against average and .771 save percentage.
 
LAST MEETING: The Mustangs handed the Knights' their first loss of the season, 3-2, in Owings Mill back on October 15. Stevenson took a 2-0 lead to halftime before being outscored 2-1 by Arcadia in the second half. The teams met in last season's MAC Commonwealth Championship where Jackie Glanfield headed the Knights to a  1-0 overtime win in the 100th minute.
 
PLAYOFF HISTORY: This marks the fourth consecutive MAC Commonwealth Championship Tournament appearance for Arcadia, and sixth appearance since joining the conference prior to the 2008-09 academic year. The Knights have advanced one round in each of the last two seasons, including a MAC Commonwealth Championship Game appearance a season ago. The teams have met twice before in the tournament, each picking up a win.
