ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's basketball team closed out the fall semester Saturday afternoon with an 83-69 win at Rosemont. The win snapped a five-game losing streak and moved the Knights to 4-6 on the season, while the Ravens fell to 1-7 after their sixth straight loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The opening minutes of the contest were near even, with Arcadia taking its first lead at 10-8 courtesy of a layup from senior

Jamie Manzo put the Knights ahead 14-13 with 1:59 to go in the frame to spark a quarter-ending 11-3 run to put Arcadia ahead 23-16 after 10 minutes of play.
After scoring the first six points of the second frame, the Ravens pulled within one just over a minute and a half in. A three from sophomore

Imani Alston put the Knights ahead by five midway through the quarter, before the hosts closed the quarter on a 12-8 run to send the game to the half tied at 37.
An 11-0 run that took just over four minutes of the third quarter gave the Knights control. Downham sparked the spurt with a fast break layup just over two and half minutes into the frame, before classmate
Olivia Roseman put Arcadia in front by 14 at 56-42 with a layup with 3:20 left in the period. Roseman ended the frame with a buzzer-beating three for a 66-55 Arcadia lead heading into the fourth quarter. The Knights scored the first eight points of the final stanza to open a game-high 19 point lead with 6:33 left.
ARCADIA LEADERS: Fiocca led all scorers with 25 points on 9-16 shooting, followed by Downham with 15 points on 5-10 shooting, Alston and Roseman each posted 11 points while tying for the team-lead with seven rebounds; Roseman also handed out a team-best seven assists.
ROSEMONT LEADERS: Ke'Aloh Naone-Carter's 21 points led the Ravens, followed by Ayanna Thompson and Jasmyn Parker with 13 points each. Naone-Carter and Leilani Naone-Carter tied for a game-high nine rebounds.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Arcadia shot 50.8% (31-61) from the field, including 8-13 (61.5%) from distance, while shooting 65% (13-20) from the free throw line. Rosemont shot 42.2% (27-64) from the field, including 9-21 (42.9%) from three, while converting 6-8 from the free throw line. The Knights controlled the paint by outscoring the hosts 38-28, while taking advantage of 25 Raven turnovers with 23 points.
