GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team allowed three unanswered goals after battling back to tie the game, resulting in a 16-13 non-conference loss at visiting Frostburg State University Wednesday afternoon at Easton Field. The Bobcats improved to 4-4 with the win, while the Knights fell to 3-3 with the loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Arcadia held an early 3-2 lead before a six-goal run for Frostburg State gave it an 8-3 lead; Courtney Ridenour start the run nine minutes into the game, and Logan Brady capped it off with 10:35 to go in the first half. The Bobcats led 11-6 at the half and were up 13-7 after scoring two of the first three second half goals, but the Knights came storming back to tie the game at 13-all.

Adeline Bellesheim scored back-to-back goals to get things going, and classmate
Dawn Faranetta capped off the six-goal surge with 10:43 remaining in the game. That proved to be Arcadia's final tally of the game as Frostburg State netted three unanswered goals to claim the win. Megan Hard scored the game-winner with 8:24 left in the game, followed by tallies from Molly Hart and Brady.
IN GOAL: Dylan Teitelbaum (4-4) totaled 15 saves to record the win in goal for the Bobcats. Senior
Jordyn Dunacusky (3-3) took the loss for Arcadia after making 11 stops.
ARCADIA LEADERS: Faranetta scored a game-high six goals with one assist for a game-high seven points and picked up four draw controls, while Bellesheim finished with two goals and one assist. Junior
Erin Misner and sophomore
Allegra Benites also finished with two goals and two draw controls each.
RECORD WATCH: Faranetta recorded her 250th career point after scoring the Knights' final goal of the game, making her just the third player in program history to reach that milestone. She is now just four points back of Traci Conrad for second on the program's all-time scoring list.
FROSTBURG STATE LEADERS: Brady totaled four goals, seven draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers to lead the Bobcats, while Molly Hart and Ridenour and Molly Hard finished with three goals each. Emani Byrd was also strong on the draw, finishing with six for the game.
