Field Hockey Hosts Rowan in Non-Conference Action

GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University field hockey team picked up non-conference play Wednesday night as it hosted Rowan. The Knights fell 4-1.
 
ON THE RECORD:
  • The Scarlet and Grey hold an 8-6 record on the year
  • The Profs moved to 8-5
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Down by one with less than 11 minutes remaining in the first half, junior Gabby Sedares converted a penalty stroke to tie the game at one.
  • The Profs went ahead for good with a goal with seven minutes to go in the first half.
  • Arcadia made a late second half surge with three penalty corners and two shots over the final 10 minutes
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Sedares and freshman Lauren Dougherty each put one shot on cage, while the team combined for seven total shots
  • Freshman Maya Stern made eight saves in goal for Arcadia
  • The Profs totaled 18 shots and 14 corners; Carly Demarco made one save
 
NOTES:
  • Sedares snapped a four-game goalless drought
