GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University field hockey team closed out the home portion of its season with a 6-0 win over Bryn Athyn Monday night. Prior to the game, the Knights celebrated the career of lone senior Liz Stierle.
 
FOR THE RECORD:

• The Scarlet and Grey hold a 10-8 overall record
• The Lions fell to 2-12

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Stierle netted the game's first goal off an assist junior Kayla Brennan in the 5^th minute
• Brennan found the back of the net just shy of the nine minute mark when she tipped in a shot from classmate Gabby Sedares off a penalty corner
• Freshman Lauren Dougherty posted the next three goals in the 13^th, 25^th and 51^st minutes
• Sophomore Isabelle Houser capped the scoring by chipping in a loose ball in the 57^th minute

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Arcadia's offense put 23 of its 29 shots on goal
• The Knights took 18 penalty corners, compared to one for the Lions
• Defensively, the Scarlet and Grey held the opposition without a shot
• Dougherty led all players with eight shots, Sedares and sophomore Sydney Cyr each took five

NOTES:

• Dougherty recorded her third hat trick of the season; she leads the team with 18 goals on the season
• Stierle has scored in two straight games
• Arcadia has fourth shutout of the season
