LANCASTER, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's swimming team bested Franklin and Marshall 116-89 Friday night. The Scarlet and Grey entered the meet ranked No. 45 by CollegeSwimming.com, while the Diplomats are unranked.
 
FOR THE RECORD:

• The Knights are off to a 7-0 start for the second-straight season
• The Diplomats sit at 2-3

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Arcadia swept the relay events. The team of sophomores Eunice Ardamoy and Megan Hupp, junior Taylor Byers and freshman Madison McKay combined for a 4:08.73 in the 400-yard medley relay to start the night. Ardamoy and classmate Bailey Babarsky joined seniors Rose Georgias and Lindsay Fortier for a 1:44.49 in the 200-yard freestyle relay to cap the night.
• Hupp was a two-time individual winner in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.63) and 500-yard freestyle (5:18.73).
• McKay claimed first-place points in the 50-yard freestyle (25.62) and 100-yard freestyle (56.40)
• Byers sealed the win by taking first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a 2:36.36. She also finished as the runner-up in the 100-yard freestyle with a 57.40.
• Sophomore Rachel Samson chalked up a win in the 400-yard IM at 4:53.42.
• Junior Alyssa D'Esposito (11:08.57) and Babarsky (11:12.78) took second and third, respectively, in the 1000-yard freestyle.
• Ardamoy claimed second-place points in the 50-yard freestyle at 25.62. Georgrias brought home a second place finish in the 400-yard IM at 5:00.40.

NOTES:

• Arcadia has won 16-straight dual meets dating back to last season

• The Knights take part in the first of two consecutive invitationals at the Diamond City Invitational at King's next weekend.
