No.2 Women’s Volleyball Set to Do Battle at No.1 Stevenson for MAC Commonwealth Championship

GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team hits the road to take on top-seeded Stevenson in the MAC Commonwealth Championship Final Saturday afternoon. First serve is slated for 2 p.m.
 
TICKETING INFORMATION: Per conference policy, all fans must pay admission to postseason events; the prices are as follows: adults $5, senior citizens $4, students with ID $2 and children under six are free.

HISTORICAL SEASON: The Knights entered postseason play coming off their most successful regular season in program history. Arcadia set a program record with 22 wins during the regular season, while posting seven wins in conference play, another program-high. As a team, the Knights have posted single-season records in kills (1,349), reception percentage (91%) and block assists (263).
 
ARCADIA LEADERS: Junior Lizzie Joseph sits atop Arcadia's stat sheet with 264 kills on the year, the fourth most in a single-season all-time. Freshman middle hitters Maddie Sehrt and Becca Campf are two of the conference's top-10 hitters this year, as the former ranks third at 34.8% and the latter is eighth with a 27.8%. Playing a big role in the Knights' offensive success are freshman Julia Paliwodzinski and senior Colleen Stengel, both of whom are top-10 in the MAC Commonwealth in assists with 579 and 486, respectively. Sehrt leads the team in blocks with 58, followed by junior 61. Sophomore Emily Eng is second in the conference in both aces (61) and digs (498).
 
ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS: Following regular season play, the conference's nine head coaches voted freshman Lauren Enfield the MAC Commonwealth Co-Rookie of the Year and head coach Eli Porr the conference's Coach of the Year. Enfield, along with sophomore Emily Eng and juniors Lizzie Joseph and Becca Campf, was tabbed to the All-MAC Commonwealth Second-Team.
 
ABOUT STEVENSON: The Mustangs enter the postseason with a 31-1 overall record and 8-0 mark in conference play. To earn the tournament's first seed, Stevenson went unbeaten against MAC Commonwealth foe.  Annika Schwartz leads the Mustangs with 344 kills, while Caroline Dangel has handed out 547 assists.
