GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia men's basketball team dropped its final non-conference game of the season, 83-75, against Rosemont. Leading all scorers was junior
Phil Pierfy with 21 points, shooting 8-of-14 from the floor, including 3-of-6 from downtown.
FOR THE RECORD:
- The Knights dipped to 6-6 on the season.
- Rosemont jumped to 6-3 for the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The first ten minutes of the game were neck-and-neck until the Knights ripped off an 18-0 run to take a 17-point led with 3:51 remaining in the half. During the 5:30 span, Arcadia saw points from four different players, including eight from senior Brandon Thompson. As a team, the Knights forced five turnovers on the run and eventually take a 41-34 lead into the break.
- After the Ravens battled back to take a four-point led during the second frame, the Knights rallied on a 6-2 run to tie the game at 56 with 11:14 left. Ultimately, the rally fell short as the Ravens finished on top, 83-75.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Outside of Pierfy, three other Knights notched double digits, including freshman Da'Kquan Davis (15), Thompson (13) and junior Evan Slone (10).
- Nearing double figures in rebounds were Slone (8), Pierfy (7) and Davis (7).
- As a team, the Scarlet and Grey shot 46.3% from the floor for the game.
GAME NOTES:
- The loss snaps the teams' three game win streak.
