Men’s Volleyball Drops 3-0 Decision at Lancaster Bible

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's volleyball team fell at Lancaster Bible College Wednesday night in three sets with game scores of 25-21, 25-22 and 25-18.
 
FOR THE RECORD: The Knights fell to 7-8 overall with the loss, and are now just 2-5 playing away from Alumni Gymnasium. The Chargers, who beat Arcadia for the second time this season, improved to 12-5 with their fourth consecutive win.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: Lancaster Bible used a seven-point run to open a 17-8 advantage in the opening game before Arcadia utilized an 11-2 surge to tie the first set at 19. The Chargers answered by scoring three points in a row and six of the eight points to take the opener 25-21. Neither team led by more than three in the second game, with LBC scoring three of the last four points to take the set 25-22 and go up 2-0 in the match. A late five-point run gave the Chargers a 21-12 lead on their way to a 25-18 win in the final set.
 
ARCADIA LEADERS: Freshman Bryce Galloway led the Knights with seven kills and eight digs, while classmate Austin Braas added six kills with three blocks and three digs. Senior Sean Cohen had 23 assists with three digs.
 
LANCASTER BIBLE LEADERS: Derek Bigley had a match-high 11 kills with four digs to lead the Chargers, while Kasey Gentry added eight kills with six digs. Kaleb Ansell tallied 29 assists with three kills and three service aces.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Both teams struggled on offense, with Lancaster Bible outscoring Arcadia 41-31 while hitting just .190 as a team. The Knights hit just .038 in the match.
