HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's volleyball team fell to a pair of nationally ranked opponents Saturday, dropping a 3-0 decision to No. 4 Vassar College to open the day before falling to No. 15 Juniata College by a count of 3-0.
FOR THE RECORD: The Knights record fell to 11-16 for the season, which now includes eight losses to teams with a national ranking at the time of competition. Vassar improved to 20-6 following its win over Arcadia, while Juniata improved to 14-10.
No. 4 VASSAR 3, ARCADIA 0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-18)
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Brewers opened the first game with a 12-4 run and never looked back on their way to a 25-14 win and a 1-0 lead in the match. Arcadia scored each of the first three points of the second game, which included a kill for freshman

Jason Manley, and led 14-12 following a pair of Vassar errors. The match was tied at 15-all before the Brewers went on a 10-4 run to close the game. Vassar jumped out to a 14-5 lead in the third game and never looked back as they completed the sweep.
ARCADIA LEADERS: Galloway and Manley each had eight kills and two service aces in the match. Senior
Sean Cohen had 21 assists with three digs.
VASSAR LEADERS: Matthew Knigge hit .529 with a match-high 11 kills and two errors on 17 attempts, while Brian Manley –
Jason Manley's older brother – added seven kills with two aces. Zechariah Lee handed out 22 assists with four kills on five attempts, four blocks, two aces and three digs.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The Brewers outscored the Knights 44-29 in the match while hitting .344 as a team. Vassar held a 31-23 advantage in kills, a 6-4 edge in service aces and a 7-2 margin in blocks.
No. 15 JUNIATA 3, ARCADIA 0 (25-16, 25-20, 26-24)
HOW IT HAPPENED: The hosts took control of the first game with an opening 9-3 run on their way to a 25-16 win and a 1-0 lead in the match. Arcadia used a five-point surge to take a 12-11 lead in the second game before Juniata used a 10-2 run to open a 21-14 lead on its way to a 25-20 win. The two programs exchanged runs throughout the third game, which saw the Knights use a 4-1 run to go up 24-13 before the Eagles scored three in a row to take the game 26-24, and the match 3-0.
ARCADIA LEADERS: Freshman
Austin Braas hit .333 with a match-high 11 kills and three blocks to lead the Knights.
Jason Manley added six kills with three digs, while Cohen had 21 assists and three aces.
JUNIATA LEADERS: Quinn Peterson had seven kills with three blocks and three digs to lead the Eagles. Joe Fick chipped in with six kills and four digs, while Michael Young had 20 assists.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Juniata outscored Arcadia 54-38 in the match while hitting .217 as a team. The Knights hit just .012 after totaling 25 kills and 24 attack errors.
