READING, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's lacrosse team dropped an 18-6 conference contest at Albright Saturday afternoon. The Knights fell to 3-11 on the season and 1-5 in conference play, while the Lions improved to 7-6 overall and 5-2 in the MAC Commonwealth.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The hosts jumped out to an early lead, scoring the first three goals of the contest. Freshman
Austin Williams got the Scarlet and Grey on the board with 1:20 to go in the opening frame. Albright scored seven of the next nine goals to take control with a 10-3 lead at halftime.
ARCADIA LEADERS: Williams and classmate
Clo Muscara led the Knights with two goals and an assist each, while sophomore
Nick Ferraro scored once and handed out an assist.
ALBRIGHT LEADERS: Nick Tonno and Cam Cetrone each registered five points on four goals and an assist. Derek Stump followed with four points on two goals and two assists.
IN GOAL: Junior
A.J. Beck (0-2) took the loss for Arcadia making 12 saves and allowing 18 goals. Ryan Aler (5-4) got the win for Albright making 11 saves and allowing five goals in 52:20 of play; Conor Scafidi allowed one goal and made no saves in 7:40 of work.
