GALLOWAY, N.J. – The sixth-seeded Arcadia University women's lacrosse team saw its 2017 season come to an end after dropping an 11-6 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) semifinal match to second-seeded Misericordia Saturday. It was the Knights' second ECAC semifinal appearance since 2015.
FOR THE RECORD: The Cougars improved to 14-4 with the win, while the Knights fell to 9-9.
IN GOAL: Katie McLoughlin needed to make just four saves in the game to earn the decision in goal. Junior
Liz Stierle totaled 10 saves in the game, and finished the season with a record of 9-6.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Freshman

Erin Misner gave Arcadia an early 2-0 lead before Olivia Garcia started a five-goal run that gave Misericordia the lead for good. Amy Roth capped the Cougar run with 4:01 left in the first half, and the two teams traded scores before the end of the frame to give Misericordia a 6-3 lead at the break. Arcadia pulled within two on a pair of occasions in the second half, but the Cougars scored three unanswered to close the game and advance to the title game.
ARCADIA LEADERS: Kaye and Misner scored two goals each for the Knights, while junior
Nicole Hutson and freshman
Victoria Mollitor added one goal each.
MISERICORDIA LEADERS: Lexee Willey scored three goals for the Cougars, while Amy Roth scored two goals with two assists for a game-high four points. Kaila Quinival had two goals, one assist, and a game-high six draw controls.
