GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's soccer team fell to the visiting Rowan Profs 1-0 Wednesday afternoon on Jean Lenox West Field.
FOR THE RECORD: The Knights now sit at 5-3 on the year, while the Profs moved to 5-1-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED: It took less than two and a half minutes for the Scarlet and Grey to test the Rowan keeper as senior
Kayla Haberbosch sent the first shot of the contest on target 2:23 in. Action shifted to the other end of the field where the Profs took their first shot, but freshman keeper
Brianna Williams had the answer. Sophomore
Amanda McHugh tested the Prof defense in the sixth minute, before the visitors scored in the 12
th minute.
Arcadia immediately went back on the offensive, being awarded a corner kick less than a minute after the goal was scored; Haberbosch fired a shot off the corner but it went high. The Knights pressed into the game's final minutes, with freshman
Mackenzie Hoffman and sophomore Karlie flowers each shooting.
IN GOAL: Williams moved to 5-3 on the year after making five saves. Shelby Money moved to 5-1-1 for Rowan as she made four saves.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The Knights outshot the Profs 10-9 over the course of the game, while each team took six corner kicks.
