GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's tennis team moved to 2-0 in the fall season as it dropped Cabrini 8-1 Wednesday evening on Weiss Courts.
PRE-MATCH CEREMONIES: Prior to the start of the match, the men's and women's tennis programs joined the Arcadia Athletic Department to acknowledge Betty Holton-Weiss '60. Holton-Weiss, for whom the courts are named for, has been a generous supporter of athletics over the years, most recently giving a gift that enabled Arcadia to add brand new windscreens to the fences surrounding the courts.

Tess Weber claimed an 8-2 win in the first flight over Maggie Javitt and Suzzane Pica. In the second flight, senior
Amanda Shulski teamed with freshman
Laryssa Badulak to shutout Lattana Sithara and Sydney Lynch 8-0. Sophomore
Maeghan Myers paired with freshman
Isabella Fontanella for an 8-3 win over Kimberly Pepenella and Julia Lamarra at No. 3.
SINGLES PLAY: Arcadia went on to claim five of six doubles matches, led by Foglia's 6-2, 6-2 win over Stefanie Barkofski in the first flight. Shulski downed Javitt 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2, while Weber did the same to Pica in the third flight. Badulak claimed a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Sithara at No. 4, with Fontanella taking down Lynch 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6. The Cavaliers lone win came at No. 5 where Pepenella downed Myers 0-6, 6-4, 12-10.
UP NEXT: The Knights hit the road next Wednesday, when they travel to Bryn Mawr.
