GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia swimming team dominated Stevenson Saturday morning by a score of 184-71. On the day, the Scarlet and Grey saw pool records fall in both the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke events. Sophomore
Eunice Ardamoy bested the 100-yard record, before senior
Rose Georgias topped the 200-yard standard.
FOR THE RECORD:
- The Knights moved to 10-1 on the year.
- Stevenson dropped to 3-7.
SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Prior to the start of the meet, the Knights recognized their four seniors,
Raven DeWeese,
Lindsay Fortier, Georgias and
Lucy Reilly for their hard work and dedication to the growth of the program throughout their careers.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The senior quartet opened and closed the meet together, as they collaborated in both the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relay events. The four posted a 2:03.93 in the meet-opening medley relay before closing the day with a 1:52.14 in the freestyle relay.
- Individually, Georgias claimed the 200-yard backstroke at 2:15.40, besting Whitney Boeckel's previous best mark of 2:15.67 from Jan. 18, 2014. In the next event, Georgias was the runner-up in the 200-yard breaststroke with a 2:50.07 finish.
- Prior to Georgias' record-breaking effort in the 200-yard backstroke, Ardamoy set the new pool-standard in the 100-yard race. The sophomore clocked in a 1:00.82, besting her previous record of 1:01.72 set last season. The King of Prussia, Pa. native finished second in the 200-yard backstroke at 2:19.33.
- Sophomore Megan Hupp was a three-time winner in freestyle events, taking the 50-yard race (25.92), 100-yard race (55.89) and 500-yard race (5:18.80).
- Freshman Madison McKay claimed two top finishes, with a 2:04.40 in the 200-yard freestyle and a 1:03.05 in the 100-yard butterfly. She was the runner-up in the 50-yard freestyle with a 26.29.
NOTES:
- The Knights have won 20-straight dual meets against NCAA Division III competition dating back to February 2016.

- The Scarlet and Grey now focus their attention on the MAC Championships, which are set for February 15-18 at the Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pa.
