GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia men's tennis team picked up its first win of the season with a 5-4 win over DeSales on Tuesday at Weiss Courts.
The Knights
Sal DiBenedetto defeated Jorey Ferrero in singles 6-2, 6-4 in flight two. Jaimie Zeng Zhu and
Keith Rader each earned singles points as well. Rader defeated Ben Greb 6-1, 6-0 and Zeng defeated Austin Wesch 6-2, 6-4 giving the Knights three points in singles.
In doubles, the duo of DiBenedetto and
Nicholas Simeone defeated Danny Lynn and Jorey Ferraro 8-7 (7-4 tiebreaker). Rader and Zhu teamed up to defeat Wesch and Domonic Ferraro 8-3 to give the Knights five points, and the one point victory.
The Knights are back in action on Oct. 9 for a match against Penn State Harrisburg, which is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m.
