Double-Doubles From Dunn and Menns Lead Women's Basketball Past Hood, 49-45

GLENSIDE, Pa. – Sophomore Taylor Dunn and junior Camille Menns each notched a double-double as the Arcadia women's basketball team took down Hood Saturday, 49-45. Dunn registered 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Menns added 11 points and 10 boards.
 
FOR THE RECORD:
  • The Knights finish the season 11-14 and 6-10 in MAC Commonwealth play, improving from last season's 8-17 overall and 4-12 conference record.
  • Hood finishes 6-19 overall with a 2-14 conference mark. 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • A defensive first quarter saw the Blazers on top 13-9.
  • In the second frame, the Knights started on a 12-5 run over the first 7:19 of the quarter to take a 21-18 lead. Dunn dropped five points over the span, with freshman Hailey Still adding a three. Hood had the lead at the break, 25-23.
  • The Scarlet and Grey dominated the third frame, dashing to a 12-4 run to claim its largest lead, 35-29, at the end of the quarter. The points were evenly distributed, seeing all five starters register a basket.
  • After the visitors regained the lead late in the final frame, Arcadia rallied on a 10-2 run over the final 3:37 to claim the victor, 49-45.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
  • On the offensive end, Still added nine points, including 3-of-7 from down town.
  • On the glass, Arcadia outrebounded Hood, 46-39, including 18-5 on the offensive end, resulting in nine second chance points.
  • Still and freshman Taylor Fritz each added seven boards.
  • The Knights forced 23 turnovers on the afternoon, leading to 19 points.
GAME NOTES:
  • Arcadia finished the season on a three-game winning streak.
  • Still's seven rebounds marks a career high for the freshman.
  • Menns' double-double marked the 10th of her career, while Dunn's was her third.
