DALLAS, Pa. – Arcadia men's volleyball rolls past conference foe Misericordia Thursday night, 3-1 (31-29, 25-27, 25-23, 25-13). On the night, sophomore
Jason Manley led the Knights with 18 kills.
FOR THE RECORD:
- Arcadia advances to 10-8 on the season, moving its conference mark to 4-1.
- The Cougars fall to 8-10 on the year, with a MAC record of 1-5.
COACH SAYS:
- "The guys had a slow start with missing two of our starters due to injury," said head men's volleyball coach Eli Porr. "But as they got warmed up things started to jell and settle in. I'm proud of the guys for continuing to always fight, even when we are facing some adversity. Now we prepare for a big match next weekend against Stevenson."
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After falling behind early in the first set, the Knights battled back to tie the match at 24. Both teams traded the next few points before Arcadia finally pulled away, 31-29.
- The second set was similar to the first, seeing 10 ties, including one at 25 apiece. Misericordia, however, scored the final two points to take the set, 27-25.
- In the third game, the Scarlet and Grey bounced back to take the advantage. After being knotted at 14, the Knights had an 11-9 run to finish on top, 25-23.
- The final set saw both teams rattle off 4-0 runs to eventually tie the set at 4-4. Arcadia rallied, taking a 20-11 run to cap the set, 25-15.
